According to answermba, Hawaii is a breathtakingly beautiful state located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It is made up of a chain of islands known as the Hawaiian archipelago and is the only U.S. state located outside of continental North America. The capital city is Honolulu, located on the island of Oahu, which is also home to iconic Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head crater. Hawaii’s landscape is incredibly diverse with tropical rainforests, mountains, beaches, volcanoes and coral reefs all waiting to be explored. The climate in Hawaii ranges from hot and humid in the summer months to mild with occasional showers during winter months. Average temperatures range from 75-85°F (24-29°C). The islands are known for their natural beauty with lush vegetation and stunning scenery from majestic waterfalls to pristine beaches and vibrant coral reefs. Despite its small size, Hawaiian culture has had a huge influence on the rest of the world due to its mix of Asian, Polynesian and American influences. Hawaii’s economy relies heavily on tourism but also benefits from agriculture, fishing and aquaculture production as well as military spending due to several military bases located across the state. It is also home to several technology companies such as Google, IBM and Microsoft who have established operations here due to its favorable business environment. Hawaii offers plenty for visitors to see and do including hiking trails through lush tropical forests or snorkeling along pristine coral reefs teeming with colorful fish; golfing at some of the world’s most beautiful courses; whale watching; surfing at legendary breaks like Waimea Bay or Pipeline; visiting historic sites such as Pearl Harbor; or simply relaxing on one of many stunning beaches such as Lanikai Beach or Waimea Bay Beach Park. There are also endless cultural attractions including art galleries, museums and traditional luau dinners complete with hula performances! No matter what type of traveler you are there’s something for everyone in this truly unique destination! According to top-medical-schools, the state flag of Hawaii is a striking and beautiful banner that features a royal blue field with the Union Jack in the top left corner and eight white stars in the center. The royal blue background of the flag symbolizes loyalty, while the Union Jack stands for Hawaii’s ties to Great Britain. In the center of the flag are eight white stars, which represent the major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, Kahoolawe, Niihau and Hawaii. Additionally, this star formation also serves as an homage to Hawaii’s admission into the Union as its 50th state in 1959. Atop these stars is written “Hawaii,” honoring Hawaii’s long history and commitment to progress. Finally, at the bottom of the flag are two red stripes which represent both Great Britain and America’s respective roles in settling what would become modern day Hawaii. This serves as an important reminder to all citizens that we owe our heritage to those who came before us.
