There is some cultivation of fruits and vegetables, as well as production of chickens and eggs for the domestic market. However, most of the food needs are covered by imports. Flowers, especially orchids, are grown for export. There are two fishing harbors and several fish farms, but production accounts for only a fraction of the consumption.
