HTC One S Will Receive No Further Android Updates

Little more than one year, that’s what has lasted the updates support for the HTC One S, mid-range HTC in 2012 and possibly terminal most sold by mark the last year thanks to its best quality/price ratio.

It was unexpected, and it is that the latest versions of Android have shown to not have problems to run on less powerful hardware terminals, though HTC has just confirmed that your One S will receive no further Android updates.

Thus, the HTC One S will remain forever with 4.1 Android Jelly Bean, at least officially, and in spite of that Yes is probably capable of supporting Android 4.2. Perhaps the problem is in HTC Sense 5, a layer that HTC has always cost you put in less advanced terminals, and which in its fifth version introduces BlinkFeed making a large enough RAM memory consumption.

The release that HTC has sent the media leaves no room for suspicion:

We can confirm that the HTC One S will not receive more Android OS updates and that it will remain in its current version of Android and HTC Sense. We are aware that this news will be received with disappointment by some, but our customers can rest assured that we have designed the HTC One S to be optimized with our incredible camera and audio experiences.

Because says it HTC, see hordes of dissatisfied users, although It will always take a spin through the development of xda-developers forums to see where the community advances.
